Four California organizations are recognized for their performance excellence by the California Awards for Performance Excellence (CAPE). The California Council for Excellence (CCE), which administers CAPE named four California Prospector Award recipients. The California Prospector Award is the CAPE Level Two Award.
Recipients include Emerald Court, Anaheim; JVS Marina del Rey WorkSource Center, Marina del Rey; JVS West Hollywood WorkSource Center, Los Angeles; PACE Westlake WorkSource Center, Los Angeles.
The award program, which emulates the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Program, recognizes organizations that demonstrate continuous improvement and superior performance in seven key business areas including leadership, strategic planning, customer and market focus, measurement/knowledge management, human resources, process management and business results. Denise Shields, Chair of the CAPE Award stated “The Baldrige Award at both the state and national level have the same criteria. The criteria are rigorous and organizations that apply are putting themselves through the most respected and demanding filter in the country. To win this award on any level is worthy of tremendous respect.”
The California Prospector Award recipients will be honored at the 13th Annual Conference & Awards Ceremony to be held on Friday, April 6, at the Westin Horton Plaza downtown San Diego.
