Construction Update
The framing is up, the roof is being constructed and all the roads have been paved. Valencia Terrace is quickly coming together and will be ready for grand opening late summer 2009.

"We are right on schedule with completing the Sales Information Center and the casita models" said Steve Bukich, Construction Manager.

From the view on Main Street and Montoya Drive, many passers by can visibly see the results. Up next for Valencia Terrace will be installing the onsite signage, interiors, moving in the associates and gearing up for the Sales Information Center opening in November.

Defining the Art of Living Well

Valencia Terrace will be a resource for the greater Corona and Riverside community to come for education and information on living well as a senior in the Inland Empire. More than a concept, Art of Living Well is a philosophy practiced at each of Valencia Terrace's 18 sister communities throughout the country. The philosophy is a way of life for members of the Kisco Senior Living family and it will be a pivotal part of the Valencia Terrace community.

"We believe at Valencia Terrace that living well is about having balance in your life," said Kirsten Tierney, Executive Director. "We are committed to exemplary service. It will be our mission to enhance each resident's lifestyle by offering creatively designed programs, responding immediately to resident's needs and concerns, encouraging independence, and promoting a sense of community and friendship."

The purpose of this philosophy is for the community to provide residents as many opportunities as possible to give back to others, stay physically strong, and nourish the heart and soul.

The Art of Living WellSM is the focus of Valencia Terrace community design, services and programs.

"Kisco is not only a great place to live but a also a great place to work, " said Maria Connelly, Project Manager. "We strive everyday to provide opportunities to fulfill these needs to create a more enriched life for our residents and staff...that is the Art of Living Well."

Building Relationships in the Community
A community is defined as a group of people interacting in a common location.

At Valencia Terrace, our goal is to expand on the greater campus neighborhood and build relationships with local businesses and service organizations. Our mission as a new member of the Corona/Riverside area is to create strong reciprocal relationships with the greater community so that Valencia Terrace may serve as a resource and learning venue for everyone.

Huffman West Medical Offices
Located between the Valencia Terrace campus and Henry's market on South Main Street, the medical offices will offer an array of services from a licensed group of physicians. Valencia Terrace has established a relationship with this new neighbor, and predicts the close location will be a great benefit to residents.

TAPS Fish House & Brewery
Tucked in the stylish lifestyle center of The Shops at Dos Lagos is TAPS Fish House & Brewery. The Team connected with this local business through networking as a member of the Corona Chamber of Commerce. The Valencia Terrace community anticipates using this venue for future resident outings and special events.

Corona Chamber of Commerce and Riverside Chamber of Commerce
Riverside and Corona have nearly tripled in size over the past eight years. With new developments and businesses expanding each year, the Chamber of Commerce has been the gateway to success for many in the Inland Empire. Valencia Terrace recognized the need for networking with these prestigious organizations and joined them in 2008. Members of the team attend meetings regularly, and will be participating in the upcoming Corona Chamber Business Expo Network Event on October 7, 2008.
